This online demonstration was conducted through a webinar, with around 40 attendees in Portugal.

Key points of the demonstration were:

  • To understand the aim of the project
  • To explain the “Environmental hourglass”, the symbol of the project
  • Understand the various areas and themes of study within the project such as the nutritional value of meat for human growth;  the nutritional value of meat for sports and the nutritional value of meat for a sustainable nutrition.
  • To know more about how the project is managing its communication and publication activities

The benefits of this demonstration were that it became clear that the Sustainable Meat Project:

  • Can support studies focused on sustainable meat production.
  • Is restoring confidence of consumers in beef consumption.
  • Is improving beef cattle production and meat image

In this way the Sustainable Meat Project is able to increase the added value of meat products.

The Sustainable Meat Project is an innovative way of communication, because it is urgent to disseminate that beef production can be simultaneously efficient and sustainable. Beef Cattle Meat marketing also plays an important role on finding new markets that value this product.

The partners that were involved in organizing this demonstration have been FMV, CRPA, ABCM and PROMERT.
